The Last Punch

Springtime in Colorado is not your typical storybook event where the trees and flowers begin to bud and the grass turns green. No, it's more like a few days of beautiful gorgeous weather when everyone is eating lunch on an outdoor patio and basking in the glory of how wonderful Mother Nature is and then She reminds everyone that Her powers rule and She delivers a punch to deflate the elevated moods that springtime delivers.
Today was one of those glorious spring days but tomorrow the punch comes with a winter storm. This will be my last dealing with a foot of snowfall...........I can't wait to never have to deal with this again. It's just poor timing since the moving crew is coming tomorrow to begin packing up the house. I just hope this doesn't delay the process because I hear another storm is coming to sucker punch us again this weekend. I just want to be on the road Sat. morning as well as our belongings to avoid another winter event. I just want to drive, drive and drive more until we reach an elevation where the snow will turn to rain and never look back.
